2017 was a year of great growth and great challenges for Shine
We are delighted to have made invaluable improvements to our school by establishing a set English Curriculum, developing a social outreach program and increasing numbers in our food program. We also qualified for charity status in Australia which opens up so many doors for us as the charity grows. We have also welcomed amazing new people to the Shine team, both in Cambodia and in Australia. They give their time, commitment and love to the cause and we can’t thank them enough.

Our youth program in Australia has expanded. We now have enthusiastic and committed youth volunteers across two-year levels at three campuses of Haileybury in Melbourne, working on a weekly basis. It’s incredible to see how engaged the students are, how much they value the skills being acquired and the experience of giving to children in very different circumstances.

So, grab a cuppa and have a read of our Annual Report here. We are unbelievably proud of what we have achieved so far. The children of Shine fill us with inspiration every day to see how much they benefit and grow from a free education and support network encouraging them to do well. There’s a lot of work still to do so as always, please support us is any way you can!
