This fantastic achievement has been the culmination of efforts from our CEO and the Shine Cambodia Board, the children and staff at Haileybury School in Melbourne, and the many supporters of Shine who have given their time and expertise to make this attainment possible. This charity registration means so much as it provides us with DGR status (Deductible Gift Recipient) so any funding received is tax deductible, and will ensure we can develop and direct funding to new programmes for Shine that we have planned.
The ACNC charity registration was approved in October 2017, and has been back dated to the 5th October 2016. This is an unexpected and welcomed verification of charitable purpose and mission. It proves we are running a transparent, evidence-based charity and that all of the resources are used for charitable purposes.
We have now published our first annual report (from conception 2015- April end 2016), where you can read about all the developments at Shine from this past year. Read here
We are very excited about the year ahead!
